Other side of the coin....
Hey CRE longs and sceptics...who are often the same people (sometimes I am one of them too - full disclosure ;)
There is much negative sentiment on this board of late and on the CEO.ca board as well -- the deal did not get announced in Q1, did not get announced before Easter....and we wait and wait and wait.
Think about all those years of waiting -- the ups and the many many downs. It has been a very difficult experience seeing this one to this point -- and quite frankly I think we are all suffering with something similar to PTSD....and all have what I would call recency bias. We expect what has happened recently to continue -- that makes sense and it is human nature!
That said -- if you take a dispassionate look at CRE, at the Li market, at the demand structure from OEMs and Car companies....if you didn't own a position here right now.....my guess is you would be absolutely thrilled to take a position and likely an oversized position -- because in a few weeks or months we will have a deal. I believe there is no other Li company out there better set up for success righ now than CRE. Does anyone really think VW or Tesla or Ford care at all about the recent spot price shennanigans -- zero chance. They care about their long term (10+ year) strategic plans where they have invested billions...and all those plans REQUIRE them tieing up a boat load of lithium.
I am not naive -- I know we may have to wait, I know there have been missteps, I know the frustration -- but I also know the opportunity here and it is very very large. The stock market does not move on fundamentals until a company is cash flowing (and even then you could argue fundamentals rarely matter) -- sentiment is a huge driver. The negative feedback loop is further enhanced by shorts who see what is going on and short the heck out of us...create more panic and more selling, fund managers who get graded on a monthly or quarterly basis, margin calls etc etc.....
Bottom line for me -- while I hate to see our share price drop -- I am a buyer here and will buy lower if it goes there. This is a sentiment and frustration driven decline -- not fundamental. Buying now in my books is what some pros call "buy low".....
We may wake up in a couple weeks or a couple months to a deal -- either way....i believe that if you stick it out and even add some here -- the opportunity is significant.
