A friend of mine told me once that when the graph shows that the volume candle and the price candle encounter themselves, that it was a signal that prices would go up not very long after that.

My take on this, without trying to be mean or condescendant is that what these charts show are just about the same as in baseball or hockey statistics. Of course the 100% hindsight rule applies.  But in reality if you wanted to bet your last paycheck using whatever chart you can find or build yourself, you could be sleeping on a bench for a while.
