SOL may be a problem: but you need regulation to
get manufactures to caugh up 200 dollars a vehicle for something the potential buyer isn't aware of,

While there is no law yet, American producers worked on SOL test improvement since 2015. IIHS grades cars' safety based on SOL performance https://www.iihs.org/ratings/about-our-tests Tesseract solution seems to be superior to what producers have now. Japanese car SOL performance remains rather poor. If SOL is legislated, Japanese producers may look into these solutions as well
