Park et al. show Avenanthramide C can inhibit the expression of MMP (Matrix Metalloproteinase) and migration through MAPK (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase) signaling in human aortic smooth muscle cells. Avenanthramide C could be a promising candidate for atherosclerosis diseases.
