Gilles

It is amazing to me that there is a single person who could cast a vote for the current management. Here is a thought experimnent for y'all . Imagine its 2016 the new plant is up and running and instead of Gilles we hired a clever 3rd year chem student who was really only interested in doing experiments but had zero business experience to run the company. 7 years later we would have a nice collectioin of lab results and the business is still grinding out the same two products but there is almost 20 million in the bank because the chem student was only getting 38 thousand a year.
Gilles is usless as a CEO full stop. I was thinking maybe a CSO or something but no he is not C level at all he is a mid level exec not a leader in any way.  The question is maybe we let him stay another year and we can all meet up here next year maybe not. We will see.
Of course the PGX upgrade got pushed out, As I have said before, without an off take deal there is absolutley no reason to build it. No surprise there it was never going to proceed now.

"Gilles is usless as a CEO full stop." He's only developed a base business that has grown at a double-digit growth rate for a decade as it moved out of a business incubator into its own state-of-the-art plant. CZO's base business has been praised by a $20 billion market cap company(Symrise) recently for the long standing product development partnership it has with Symrise ...more

How many compnies are still "development stage" after more than a quarter century. THat is a ridiculous state of affairs. Hell CZO and AMZN are the same age and AMZN had no tech they were just a book seller for god sake but they had a visionary CEO and that made all the difference. CZO 18.5MM CAD revenue 2022 AMZN 365B USD 2022 revenue. That is the power of a real leader.

Read my thought experiment. He has done nothing a mildy intellegent chem student couldnt have done and it cost us 5 million dollars for him to do that.

And on everything you have mentioned he has FAILED miserably to take it to the next level.  As i have said before and will say again "what have you done for me lately?" we all know the answers 2 consecutive qrtrs of reduced profits, higher cost and reduced R&D, in the banking world that would be classified as a recession.
