New bear market

The S&P Biotech ETF is now down 21.22% in about 2 months sending it into a new bear market on interest rate and inflation concerns. With the US election this year fast approaching how could this impact early-stage biotech investment? The US is running a 6.4% deficit/GDP before a recession and something big has to be done as interest rates continue moving up.

JUST IN: President Biden proposes increasing capital gains tax rates to 44.6%, the highest since 1922. Currently, the highest long-term capital gains tax rate is 20%. He has also proposed a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains for wealthy individuals.
