How long will the halt be...?

No news yet, I wonder how long the halt is going to be. No doubt whatever they are trying to put in writing isn't going to be easy. I could be as complex as having to survey the property for old burial sites to something as simple as dotting the i's and crossing the t's..... all we can do it wait. Let's hope a deal has been reached to move forward, otherwise, this could be a long wait. I am in another stock (VCV, Valtic ventures for those who care) that has been halted for over 2 years since February 2019...!!! they have just received approval to begin trading soon.... if this happens to DBG, perhaps a two year wait will be well worth it....

This doesn't sound promising https://thenarwhal.ca/tahltan-nation-evicts-doubleview-gold-corp/

Valueckr... I read the article in the Narwhal which you posted, you are right, this doesn't sound very positive and certainly not what we all expected. The detail in this article really puts everything into perspective. Playing penny stocks can be very humbling at times,  and I think this is one of those times. Unless something happens, it is what it is.

I'm long. Farshad has so much invested in this company and I expect he will do whatever necessary to get past this and unlock the value assuming the assays we're waiting on are positive. It's taking an eternity. I'm more concerned about the drill results to be honest. If there's value in the ground, he'll do what he can to unlock it or sell it off to a large player at a ...more

The concept of "value in the ground" is interesting. A concentration of valuable minerals that can't be economically extracted (for whatever reason) is not valuable. An example is Northern Dynasty's Pebble Project. Probably one of the most prolific mineral deposits in the world but it has seriously struggled to get permits for decades.  From the Narwhal Article posted in ...more

jfan22.... well said, exactly what I am thinking. From what you have said and presented, it now appears Farshad has pulled the wool over everyone's eyes with promises of big share prices like apparently the $10 per share he mentioned at the AGM.... "the province added a condition to the company’s drilling permit that required it to conduct an archaeological impact assessment before doing ...more

Not only is there a risk of there being burial sites, the Narwhal article seems to indicate the area is used for subsistence hunting by the Tahltan. This is typically an important/integral part of First Nations' cultural heritage. Building a mine has a big impact on habitat and migratory routes of animals (like Caribou). Mines also have a huge potential impact on water resources that support ...more

But why did the BC GOV. issue drill permits?
Comment by jfan22 on Mar 25, 2021 2:05pm
I have no knowledge of how or why drilling permits in BC are granted, revoked or suspended. The narwhal article (https://thenarwhal.ca/tahltan-nation-evicts-doubleview-gold-corp/), seems to indicate they were granted conditionally upon a study that it claims was not completed. The permits and the government's decision to grant them may be a public record and I encourage you to look into it and ...more

yes and that is why FS must be pragmatic and sell to a larger more experienced comp. with a good relationship with the TN. It must be done at a very reasonable price for the buying company and it must be done soon.
Comment by jfan22 on Mar 25, 2021 4:03pm
I don't disagree with this opinion, but the nature of TN's issues with Hat may not be something a larger company can solve, even with good relationships. That being said, a larger company could probably progress exploration and fully define the resources/reserves. Skeena sold GJ-Spectrum (with an Ni43-101 compliant resource estimate and PEA) for only $7.5M. The PEA showed an NPV8 of $314M ...more
