The details of the “shared prosperity agreement” between British Columbia and the 4,000-member Tahltan First Nation will be negotiated over the next two years. The province has agreed to pause the approval exploration permits in the territory over that period.
They will also test new processes related to mineral permits, placer mining and land use, and address concerns over wildlife management.
