Mark is quoted as saying that if DDN finds a significant gold deposit (which they are in the process of), they would likely spin it out into a new company, like they did with UNR.

It's like a 2-for-1 special!

IF they do spin it (gold) into a seperate company. would it come from DDN if was found through UNR? Would you have to own UNR shares to get the new company? I own both so it's not really a concern, just a question.CheersCherryCoke

I own both DDN and UNR too.I think that spinning out both their gold assets would be complicated from a legal perspective, they'd have to accurately identify the relative contribution of assets from both companies into the new one.Or they could create two new gold companies, and merge them at some point, or sell both to a JV partner, who knows, either way it's a huge win for existing ...more

Hope you're right 10karat, if they combine both DDN's and UNR's gold in one spin-off, and give DDN and UNR shareholders a share for each share held that would definitely be sweet!
