Datametrex AI Ltd > dividend possiblility?

dividend possiblility?

If we keep getting good revenue streams from covid, I wonder if it makes sense to pay a bit of dividends, maybe 0.1 cent per share per month, that will cost the company less than $5 million a year but the revenue is way more than that.  Dividend paying might prevent short selling.

Just a thought.

A dividend or buying back shares , no way , after the 60 million shares gets added to the float a RS is the only way, it's not a matter of if but when .

No chance. Companies in growth mode don't issue dividends. Especially ones with unsteady earnings that trade at 17 cents.

That's a great idea. Who's Baby is that, I'll buy that.. That would be a nice gesture for all the Long's. Even a one time special dividend would be nice.

I think it was a Discord he discussed that they have discussed this in the past, a share dividend. Cash dividend I've never heard mentioned, and I don't think serves investors well. Buying shares back, maybe. I believe he mentioned to George from Agacacom onetime Ronin possibility of Spinout as a dividend. I guess with Graph Blockchain splitting up into 2 entities they could also spin ...more

Over the years I've been in a number of micro/small cap stocks that have spun out another company and gave a dividend.  I'm currently invested in one at the momen that will be giving a 5:1 share dividend when they spin out their copper mine.

Ok, I'm not sure if this is aimed at me, sorry maybe I wasn't clear. I don't doubt other fields its not possible though still rare. But what I meant was while its not impossible ("not the norm"), a 17cent stock spinning cash as a dividend seems unlikely and spinout of a tech company within a tech company is possible but not something I've personally heard of. With the ...more

In regards to DM, I hope they use the money to expand and grow the company. I personally think a buy back is not the best way to use the money or a dividend.  However, I wouldn't complain if they gave me a one time dividend. I don't see their fully diluted share price as being a problem going forward.  Liquidity is very nice to have in a stock and I know institutions like it too. ...more

Growth and income model. I said less than $5 million dividend payout, this is not too much, if our annual revenue is over $60 million. Especially if we keep signing new covid test contract, it should not hurt the expansion side. I would not underestimate the covid side, a huge contract can bump us up to $80 million revenue. Just my opinion of course.

You guys realize a dividend payout to investors would see a large proportion of our cash balance going out to the millions of shares provided to our drone and medi-call friends... not to mention the millions of shares held by insiders and management. In short, a dividend payout really doesn't help us average Joe's, it's really just going to make the rich richer and leave the company ...more

I said a small portion of total revenue, say $5 million a year dividend out of $60-$80 million annual revenue.

Tankumo, are you mixing gross revenue income with net revenue payout? If revenues were $60 to $80 million then profit might only be $20 million after running the business. So a $5 dividend would be 25% of total net revenue. Not a good idea in my opinion.
Comment by tankumo on Oct 20, 2021 11:34pm
The income will be way more than $20 million, I think. And 20% payout is not bad.  I invested in energy trust and their payout is way above 50%. All I am saying is if we keep continuing getting good covid contract we can look at dividend, or else don't pay dividend. And don't underestimate the revenue of AI and telehealth sides, MG is good at striking new deals, just look at covid ...more

Again, I think the best use of that money is to grow and expand the company at the moment.  If the company can get to the $2.00 + range, I wouldn't mind a 2:1 reverse split to move the stock above $4.00 for an immediate uplist onto the TSX.  From there would likely see an increase in the stock price to $5.00 + dollars.  At the time of the split the shares would be fully diluted, ...more

With over 355 million shares, a 1 cent dividen each month would cost the company over $40 million a year, not less than $5 million. Maybe a 1 cent per year dividen is possible. which would come to $3.55 million DP

I said 0.1 cent a month.
