What about it is illegal? If some whale is trying to exit but needs to test the bids, that seems to me within their rights to pull the order before open if they don't like the price IMO

It is deliberate market manipulation and is indeed illegal. Unfortunately it is rampant on the Venture Exchange and is rarely punished. Oversight of the Venture is thin at best. Can't wait until we get off this exchange and I can see that in our future. Trying to make rational investment decisions based on the numbers that bounce around on the Venture is really a fools errand. Best to do your ...more
