Bad News, Yes ...Terrible News, No

They cut some seriously significant future losses by getting rid of EVS. This was a bit like the weed frenzy ....a lot of hype and then too many players. EV sales have not taken off as expected as the majority of people continue to wait for serious improvements to make the owning of one financially viable. Mind you they sold it at a LOSS!

Have enough capital to maintain operations for the next 12 months without the need to dilute anymore than has already taken place. Clearly acknowledged that covid tests carried the company ....this was the opportunity missed. They had lots of cash and managed it poorly. But, they pivoted once ...can they do it again? Streamlining over the next quarter will be necessary to right the ship. We'll see?

If they can strike a synergy between AI and healthcare they may still be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat. This is definitely the future. Do they have the team to make this happen ...that is a completely different but very important question.

Your 100% correct about ev sales... Articles have been published that sales are down due to costs.. new vehicles costs .replacement cost of batteries.. charging stations etc etc ... 40 below.. milage cut in half or less.. not to mention starting at 40 below.. govt's have no clue as to EV's...sounds good but have they thought about long term disposal of all those batteries .. hmmm?? Just ...more

They'll be recycled,  what do you think.
Comment by Bentley2000 on Nov 30, 2023 9:09am
We can't recycle regular flashlight batteries properly...and are you willing to spend 15k plus to replace your EV batteries when required???
Comment by frewil11 on Nov 30, 2023 9:14am
The average EV car battery lasts 200 thousand miles or around 320 thousand kilometres , dont compare a small flashlight battery to a car battery , do some research on the sector .

I think you should do more research... Climate has a lot to do with the life expectancy of the EV batteries... Cold kills battery life expectancy...check it out. Guess you never lived in -40f areas of our country.

As of now they can't, thus they cause serious problems.  You mean Justin didn't mention that?
Comment by Forge24 on Nov 30, 2023 9:24am
Blatant disinformation, current EV batteries are 80-90% recyclable lithium ion, and that number will only improve. Have another drink there.

Electric-Car Battery RecyclingWhile EV batteries hold 20 to 100 times more energy than those used by hybrids, they're recycled pretty much the same way as the smaller ones. The packs are shipped to a facility specializing in battery disassembly and recycling their components.
Comment by IceColdBeer on Nov 30, 2023 9:40am
ask if it is expensive to do so.  It will get better down the road but at the moment, very costly.
Comment by Bentley2000 on Nov 30, 2023 9:43am
Specialized facilities... Let me know when they are built and environmentally approved ??
Comment by frewil11 on Nov 30, 2023 9:57am
Wow , you sure weren't bringing up your concerns with the EV industry when you thought DM was going to make millions on the battery charging scheme. Lol.
Comment by Bentley2000 on Nov 30, 2023 10:04am
Was always my concern along with the life expectancy of the batteries/replacement costs/efficiency in cold weather and distance and the large number of charging stations required.

What I don't like is their MD&A does not dicuss the recent events or update the investor about DMEVS.  No information as to why it was unsuccessful or did not live up to their expectations.  Not much information gained, not even about the other verticals, expansion of clinics, etc...   A little bit on the integration of MediCall and Imagine Health, but if I recall that was ...more
