And Bentley everyone on that list is/was useless and quite possibly quite corrupt. Who knows. I guess the world has its axis of evil and it appears datametrex very well may have theirs too hey

...just displaying the info I was able to find. Maybe I should Trade out all my shares from TFSA IN_KIND back into my cash account so that atleast I can write them off.!!??

I'm no whiz at this but it seems to me that would show a $withdrawal from your TFSA and a deemed purchase in your cash account at today's stock price. Not sure that gains you anything other than an extra room for contributing in next years TFSA (if you're already at maximum contribution). But someone smarter than me can opine.

Actually I think you are SOL on this one. There will be no loss allowed in the TFSA. When you take it out, the new non-registered shares will have a cost base of $0.005 or maybe $0.01 and so the stock would have to go lower from there to sell for a capital loss, and the amount withdrawn from a TFSA can be recontributed the following year but the value would be #shares x $0.01 ( not your original ...more
