Consultant payoff

It's good to be a consultant to the mining industry. Moeny for nothing.

"The Company has assigned 150,000 options at $4.25 CDN to a consultant."

RR why the consultant and what is their contribution? Marketing, Promotion, getting coffee, weather reporting, or something else? Come on be up front and honest. That "Consultant" just made C$7,500 today (so far).

They do throw around options like confetti. I'm assuming that the options are in lieu of payment for work undertaken during Well 4. But, as you note, it could be for bloody anything. For what it's worth, DME are not alone in this regard. This is from Royal Heliim earlier this week: "Royal also announces the grant of 2,850,000 incentive stock options with a strike price of $0.60 ...more

First, I am thrilled/relieved at the news today.  Congrats to the company and to all of us that stuck it out through all the hand-wringing! GoldenArm, I agree.  If RR believes the company's equity has the near-future value that has been intimated, these recent stock option award practices for part-time help (whether a consultant or a non-employee director) really need further ...more

I have no idea how much of a halo effect Kelli Ward has had but I see that the market cap is up over $100M since her appointment. Seems like a pretty good ROI to me. Let's enjoy some good news for one day at least.

Buyhigheatchips - in my view, the rise in DME's stock price during that time period was attributable to very active efforts (interviews, etc.) at the time by Robert and Don to get DME's story out into the market and a very simple, clear and compelling way.  I don't currently see any rational basis for the market to ascribe any halo effect to Kelli Ward's interest or position ...more

I agree with Buyhighheatchips. Certainly Don and Robert's efforts have brought in new shareholders, but it's not a mere coincidence that on April 1st Keli Ward was named to the BoD and the share price moved up 50% over the next 12 days. Sure, there was the Ellis Martin interview on April 6th, but most of the stock's move up was prior to that.  I'm definitely not concerned ...more

Recall from that interview that Ellis Martin actually stated that he was so confident in DME that he took the very unusual step of buying DME shares before the April 6 interview occurred.  If he felt so strongly, I expect that he also made mention of DME to certain friends as well that resulted in additional pre-interview buying pressure.  Of course, there is no way for anyone ...more

Stop me if i'm wrong but aren't chairs of political parties elected by party members not citizens?  They aren't accountable to constituents only party members.   Also not to get too political but Arizona doesn't seem to be concerned with ethics lol.

Good question, Tylerod1.  I believe you are correct that chairs of political parties are determined by the political party apparatus.  However, I'm not worried about her personal liability/accountability to her constituents (however those may be defined) though.  I am instead concerned for DME because the only assistance I can imagine she could provide to DME (for her 400,000 ...more
