DWS

Hi SCREAMER99,

Your financials may be in line about DWS, however the company has a book-value of only $0.10.  Lassonde Industries holding 20% of the shares, apparently at a cost price of $0.19, recent volumes, current trading price near 52-weeks HIGH are at least indicators suggesting that the stock is on the rise.  The March 5, 2021 announcement of a new CFO is however unlikely to lead to a takeover in the short term.  I wasn't aware of that situation before  today's posting, as my previous posting was stating that i did expect a company's buyout relatively soon.  For sure, with 200M shares or so in circulation, there is no fear that a share-consolidation (reverse stock-split) will happen.  DWS highest trading price was on June 1, 2018 at $0.38.

Time will tell, but here's my take - The high of $0.38 you mentioned was on June 26, 2018, not June 1, 2018.  The very next day, the year end audited financials were released (check Sedar) and we can all see the trend from that day on. In the two previous fiscal years, EBITDA was north of $3m.  In Q4-18, that was their worst March quarter and it was driven by lower ROW sales (if I ...more

Stifel Nicolaus sure has been selling a lot of shares the last few trading days. Will be interesting to see what the stock does when they are done.

What does Stephen Takascy see in this company if earnings are so bad??   He is a shrewd investor and owns just under 10% of this company.  Why would Lassonde want to buy in at 19 cents a share?  What are these guys putting in their wine for these smart guys to buy it? I tell you what it is -- they have strong recognizable Ontario wine brands and they are getting preferential ...more

Sometimes the puck takes a deflection and leaves the ice. They both bought on expectations (as did I) but I was able to bail when they didn't materialize.  If/when they bail, you'll feel it in the SP. Let's see what the annual results bring in this summer.  The Q4 has always been a loss quarter and to what extent this year, who knows?  But my hunch is that it will be a ...more

You should sell.  No need to hang on if you think the worst is to come.  That would be idiocy.  Sell tomorrow and find some stock you believe in.

I must say this is one of the quietest stocks I have ever owned...tough resistance at 21 cents and solid support at 18 cents. No volume so no one can even trade it for pennies. One of the rare sit and wait it out stocks.

I've been out for a while.  Good luck to those over the few months.

Wouldnt mind a quick dip down to 17 cents (I have a bid to add there)...but not holding my breath as this stock is rangebound between 0.185 and 0.205.
