The Old Saying Goes...

'Justice delayed is justice denied'.

To Emerita shareholders this delay of the trial--and thus the ultimate awarding of AZN to EMO--for over two more years feels like a sick joke.  Just what important things do these judges have on their plates that compels them to ignore the corrupt practices of a foreign multinational?

Not so fast outraged shareholders.  The facts of the case DID compel  the judiciary to act.  It DID act canceling the tender to Grupo, upgrading the criminal charges of the existing defendants to more serious crimes AND find more defendants to charge with MORE crimes.  That's a lot.

Judges hate being overruled on appeal.  It draws uncomfortable scrutiny of the 'what the hell was he thinking in the first place" kind. In doing the right thing the appeals court judges embarrassed one of their own.

So now its time to get down to what's really important here and minimize the negatives inflicted on their colleague on the bench.  They're gonna cool this whole thing down.  The case is on the backburner for two long years.  Plenty of time for their colleague to wipe the egg off his face and for the negative publicity generated by his stupidity to fade.

I'm serious.  Saving judicial face is all this is about.

Emerita has two more years to continue proving up their resource--20% higher than historical assays so far.

Its a bear market so i expect it to continue to yawn in the face of mere indisputable proof.  Assays are not talking now.  They will...around about the time a certain trial date with a certain inevitability of outcome approaches.

Cheers!

While i stand by my remarks about the judiciary and their special ways there is possible as well a more mundane explanation why the trial was pushed out to 2025. 19 defendants mean 19 lawyers who all had to be available at the same time.  The 2025 date could be the earliest time available...for ALL of them.
