Thanks for the post Greatvac1, it's good for the Canadian Auto Industry but it also clearly states that the batteries need to be produce from North American raw materials as well. Trudope needs to invest in a battery plant in Alberta not Keebec!!! where the lithium quality n quanity is unparalled in North America. jmo UNKLAL

It seems the government did a good job getting our critical materials being acceptable for content when receiving EV tax credits in the States, well done. Looking forward to the next few months with E3.

Will these tax credit create competition for us in Canada or they create a higher demand for lithium?

It allows a tax credit to be applied if E3 or any other Canadian, Mexican or USA product is used in the manufacture of EV's. At one point the bill would have excluded anything not coming from the USA.
