Warren buffet's BH is positioned right in the heart of the Salton Sea (geothermal at the moment). But there's estimates of producing 600,000 tonnes a year of Li. More than enough for the NA market.

is this hype? Possible effect on supply? Can E3 beat them to market?


The Salton Sea's lithium capacity is nearly the size of the world's largest deposits in Bolivia and Chile combined, at 32 million metric tons

The decision of the US government to rescind a grant made to Berkshire Hathaway for development of lithium production from its Salton Sea geothermal power operations seems to suggest further issues with commercialising DLE extraction in geothermal lithium resources.
