Closed Circiut = Dilution?

In a closed loop, after the lithium is extracted from fluid drawn from the reservoir, and returned to the reservoir, is the next draw of fluid from the reservoir partially diluted?

For example, if you have a reservoir of 2 litres of brine with 75mg of Li per litre, and you remove 75mg of Li from 1 litre using our DLE process, then return that litre back to the reservoir, would the next litre that's drawn from the reservoir contain less than 75 mg of Li?

PSimia, pretty sure their engineers have figured this out. They will re-inject at a different location in the reservoir, far away from their producing wells and likely many miles away at the outer edges of the reservoir. Over time, this will have the effect of 'sweeping' the Li rich brine toward producing wells. Remember that all of the fluids are flowing through poroous reservoir rock, so ...more
