Cool article. There's a lot of work going on, in addition to this. The graphene based aluminum oxide batters, etc, etc, ,etc... the work, in particular, Toyota's Lithium Phosphate battery, looks quite good. If they end up getting longer range and quicker charge times, and for less cost, demand for Li vehicles will go nuts. I'd be taking a serious look at buying one.
