Posco America relocates HQ to Washington.....

"Posco Group expects the relocation of Posco America’s headquarters will help the group to better respond to the Inflation Reduction Act and policies involving critical minerals including lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, graphite and aluminum."

"Posco Group added that Posco America will help the group establish joint ventures with General Motors and Ford, the group's partners to whom Posco Group previously agreed to supply secondary battery materials"

________
POSCO news excerpts:

*This move is strategically aligned with the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and is poised to secure POSCO Holdings' pivotal role in the North American lithium market.

*also plans to extract lithium from oilfield brine with support from Alberta’s existing industry, which is working on solutions to address the challenges tied to brine-hosted lithium extraction.

And which AB company(E3), is the only 1(E3) with real brine extraction flow(E3) & KPI's ? (E3)

AND....really re-read bottom of this one:

*Invest Alberta CEO Rick Christiaanse said: “Alberta’s strategic partnership with Posco paves the way for substantial advancement in lithium production as demand for electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries grows significantly. This agreement is a vote of confidence in Alberta’s ability to become a global leader in this area."

Chris 1st said what in 2018 about lithoum & a giga??

BMAC said what in 2019 report about EV factory & SS batteries. In addition to the Western Battery Hub feas.

11 months ago, Chris reiterated in his Linkedin thread growing up AB industry. With that reply from Chris Popoff about battery materials.

Yesterday:

They are well advanced, so it’s really now just a question of them picking the right projects and then moving forward.”

*E3 Lithium is the company to beat!*

Possibly @ minimum, Li & manganese. Chris said E3 could just add a bolt-on for it. Couple weeks ago the Alberta representative hinted @ REE's too. There will be a full testing of all elements, in our brine, due to the 15.6 ---- govt funded

Maybe I'm late to the party in this analysis, but thinking further about the latest KPIs and the flow rate. I think they used the latest KPI release to maximize flow rate and see which KPI hit the constraint first which ended up being Lithium grade in product stream @25% or more. Where as the previous tests from 6.7 -> 9 flow rate seemed to have substantially higher purity with a more ...more

According to the KPI news release where 9 flow rate was first released purity is the 2nd important factor on cost: The quality of the product stream, quantified by lithium concentration and purity, has a direct impact on the relative size and complexity of the post DLE lithium refining process. Put simply, the more concentrated the lithium, combined with a lower concentration of impurities, the ...more

MyZ. I came across a couple of partial news clips from Bloomberg, from last July, about Posco that may be of interest. The first, is how responsive the investment community was last July when Posco  shares..... "The winning streak in steelmaker Posco Holdings Inc. may grind to a halt after shares jumped 65% in July on bets that the firm’s $92 billion spending plan would give it a ...more

& Puer add to that 10% $3.6b, Alberta's $3.8b for the industry. Not to mention Canadian Growrh Fund has $15b & SIF around $5b i think. Then of course DPA too. Oh you're not wrong...this is not only such a rarity, but it has fundamentals behind it too!  Yep, yep POSCO is an absolute beast --- multiple, multiple industries & absolutely the followers to squash " ...more
