My take on Insider trading question

As many of you know, this is a focus of mine.  While I was pleased to hear the question addressed in the webinar, I wasn't thrilled with the explanation.

There was an explanation on selling and taxes, which would be acceptable up until the sells of January and February of 2024, which in my mind was a significant factor in driving share price down from the 2.20 level. I also was disappointed that nothing was discussed with the lack of buying by insiders.   Yes, share counts may be growing, but using options to do so isn't the same as putting your own skin into the game, as we shareholders have to do.  The issue was obviously side stepped.

Im going to re-listen to the webinar this weekend to clarify my own thoughts on it, but I will relay that the piece mentioning that the PFS is to be expected by the end of June is welcome news as I expected a further delay.  For Chris to raise expectations this closely to the end of the quarter gives me confidence that it will now happen.

My take on the question was same. The answer was more of why the insider selling and really nothing on why no buying..and similar to you I have my own hangups and one is and sill remains and that is dilution. But overall to me it was a good presentation and glad to see ...more

If the PFS is such a driver for everything else then why aren't insiders buying before its release?

Yeh guess it can be tricky stuff. I would imagine Chris is keeping a close eye on who is doing what. Maybe trying to keep a lid on things until after PFS or maybe now to close to the release. But agree with you It has been pretty dry for some time.  gl

I have accumulated some significant dry powder that is waiting to be utilized if and when I see multiple insiders, including Chris, make some significant buys.   If it never happens I'll just deploy elsewhere.  I wonder how many others are thinking the same?

To take another look at it, they are a small team of 30 people. Most are junior or mid level people being paid with shares and a smaller salary. Money is short these days and I cannot blame insiders from not buying. Now, the senior leadership and board Is different. They should have the money to deploy. That being said, they don't want to get knocked on the head with insider trading fines ...more

100 percent right.  And in no small consideration reason to see why that 16 million tons will make longs rejoice that they understood the possibilities.   Go e E3
