  The official line is "security concerns", but the reality is it would destroy the North American car producers.   Imagine being able to buy a new car for $20K.  How would the big car makers survive, especially paying union wages?   They couldn't.

Even if as u believe there is no climate crisis think back to when vehicles were stopped during the start of Covid.  Particulate matter dropped drastically allowing vistas not seen in decades in places.  As a runner I felt the cleaner air.  How we earthlings are allowing this to contine without racing for a solution seems crazy.  North America and Europe will be left out while ...more
