How to identify pumpers; a bullboard readers guide

Pumpersare a strange breed, and can be difficult to detect in the wilds of thebullboards.  Often these people receive a paycheck to simply postpositive things to the boards.  Below is a quick list of things you cando to protect yourself from these vicious and deceptive predators.

1.Look for posts that are overly positive, for no apparent reason.Things like, "Great news out shortly!" or ridiculous estimates of asecurity's future price.

2. Quickly rated posts. Pumpers LOVEthe post rating system mostly because its so easy to manipulate.  Make5 accounts and Viola! permanent 4 rating on all your posts. Especiallyconspicuous when they are the only posts being rated.

3.Back-up. Pumpers always have back-up; either in the form of anotherpumper or simply an alternate account. They don't hesitate to call downany negative posts and will often support the other pumpers in theirefforts. Little nuances in their writing that coincide are oftengiveaways to alternate accounts.

Keep this in mind when cruisingthe bullboards, ESPECIALLY when looking at stocks with little substanceand a lot of promises. Well I hope this helps some people, keep in mindthat looking back over someone's posting history is a good way to tellif you have suspicions.

Mind your risk....and GLTA.

I also agree these two guys are pumpers.  either that or they are complete amateurs or naive beginners in the markets. the waste of time repetitiveness, stating the obvious or previously stated information time and time again, and "rose tinted glasses" view of everthing involved screams bogus posters / info.  No objectivity, and such a heavy bias that refuses to accept ...more
