A Million Shares

Hello Dogger, Kel, Van, Kachoo and anyone else with a credible opinion. Anyone else notice how a million shares got taken out yesterday at the ask? And today went to 8 cents and out of nowhere a million shares on the sell side for 7.5 cents. Opinions welcome.

Hi hockeynut2, I can account for a quarter million of those shares, they were a portion of mine, there is some manipulation going on in here and am pretty tired of it. yesterday there were something like 6 million asks at a 1/2 penny below and nobody would bite, and why would they, someone for awhile now keeps dumping small portions just enough at the right time to keep people buying low and not ...more

Kel, I think I was a little loose on my wording when I said "there is no reason why this stock should not be rising a bit more". what I was meaning to say was that there was alot of interest in purchasing this stock with the volume we have seen in bids, and with less dumping at 7.5 cents we might be able to push it up alittle ( only because we have huge volume behind ...more

Good Morning All. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Leafs won last night. Wish they would do it more often.I've been thinking about that million shares that showed up just after the sp hit 8 cents. I agree, could be some manipulation going on, and also, probably lots of guys like Shakeing trying to get a little money off the table. I'm kind of in the same boat, although I was hoping ...more

"I need to break even"It's this line of thinking that makes people lose money and lose out on actually making money. Often it works out to be more profitable to sell at a loss and buy something else than to keep holding and hoping it goes back up. You could be waiting months or years before anything happens and it's not even guaranteed that anything will happen.I've earned ...more

Your absoutely right King. However this is the only loser i've had in 18 months. Whether I sell this tax season or next  or even the one after that is really all I have to decide. I can afford to wait, and if it does go to zero, it's just more to write off. Best of luck to all.

whatever works you you bub. I'd still rather sell at a loss, write it off, then start earning a more money than I lost. It beats only writing off a large loss. You can easily make more money than you'd lose. Or better yet put it in an RRSP+tfsa and not even worry about having to offset gains. But to each their own, I'm not running your portfolio.
