Global mining mergers and acquisitions at record pace in 2010
Reuters reported that mining related mergers and acquisitions in terms of number and value should top record highs set in 2007 after H1 frenzy of global activity driven by gold deals.
Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers said in the report that deals numbered 1,324 in the first 6 months of 2010 for a total value of USD 104 billion. In all of 2007, 1,732 deals worth USD 159 billion were struck.
I guess Kinross is waiting until our shares are free!
