I decided to dig a lil "
Set out to find the dirll hole that Cote + Laporte
drilled lower Galloway east side claims near rail + raod.
Can't find that one drill hole.
INSTEAD... I found the - Cote + Laporte Dassrat files.
In the Cote + Laporte report it mentions Dassrat claims.
Speaks about the geology, also mentions a mine
1.5 km away.
So... i dug elsewhere... looking for that mine.
Found another site which documented the former mine.
I got luckey... lol
What was the mine called ?
Monarch mine.
Its located just north of, Moriss.
Right where i drew that green fault line coming from
backside of, Hendrick's right up to the lake.
ha, ha....!
Monarch mine outcrops aside of lake...
I figure is where they first sampled - found Monarch gold.
This was during 1937 - 37....
Cote + Laporte only speak about this mine.
500 lb Bulk Quartz sample =
2.2 oz per tonne !!! This Monarch parcel is actually on - FKM's lands.
Go... figure.
EXCERPT - page - 19 - One other important prospect is located less than 1.5 kilometers to
the west of the property. It is the old Monarch Mine which was worked in 1936 and 1937.
Numerous trenches were dug, a 125 foot shaft sunk, and about 1,260 feet of lateral excavation completed.
One large sample of almost 500 pounds consisting of mineralized quartz veins gave a bulk assay of 2.20 ounces of gold per ton.
No tonnage estimates are available. LINK - https://gq.mines.gouv.qc.ca/documents/examine/GM44458/GM44458.pdf IMAGE # 1 - MONARCH HISTORICAL MINE - Red / Green arrow overlays...
IMAGE #2 - OWN INTERPRETATION
- added fault lines and where i think they should drill
- noticewhere i placed that green fault back side of Hendricks
leading right up to - Monarch... boom.
Cheers....
