Petition Petition.....

We live in a country where everyone can express themeselves freely.....and this petition is an expression of free speach in Canada!

Yes, some first nation members have some concerns about the PAK project, and yes Frontier Lithium need to better communicate the impact of this fabulous project for the whole of the First Nations in the NorthWestern Ontario Region.

We know, that Frontier Lithium, as sometimes issues in the communication department....so I'd advise them to take the time and to have a one on one communication with all First Nations in the area....to what will benefit them....

But once again.....this project we need everyone on Board...Frontier Lithium is key for the EV infrastructure of Onntario!

Cheers...

They have been uaving one on one discusiions with all the forst nations for 10 years and have signed agreements for five years. But times change. People want energy transition without minerals to support that. Totally understandable but not possible. Massively increasing electricity needs copper and other minerals. Wind and solar and even hydro need big batteries. Nuclear needs transmission lines ...more

This is exactly what I have been concerned about since day one of my investment with Frontier. Too dependant on the good will of the indiginous bands who have a history of saying all the right things until they have some real leverage to renegotiate the deal. I'm sure Mitsubiushi is watchng this closely and has an escape clause.  Say what you will but I'm not in favour of any deal ...more

They want 15,000 signatures. No big deal ! Unfortuneatly it only takes 3 or 4 band members to blockade the access point to Frontiers properties and they will be under OPP protection. My advice to the Walkers ! Bring your cheque book to the discussions.

Perfectly stated Jiggernaugt. The cheque doesn't even matter because as soon as it is cashed there will be more land keepers or whatever to say it wasn't enough and block the road. Again and again and again.  If there is no real will by the Province or the Feds this will be another mess of a money pit like the one in Manitoba with the Bi Pole hydro lines and the nat gas pipeline in ...more

From my understanding, this was started by someone who doesn't live near the mines. Someone to stir the pot to light a fuse. I'm not worried about this one at all, and I would expect these things to occur anytime a mine is near sacred, Indigenous lands. I'm sure there is a strategic reason for having Meekis on the Board. I hope he steps up and earns his Board perks.

From TBT News:  Nevaeh Rae, the Sandy Lake First Nation member who started the online petition, said she would be interested in attending a session in Thunder Bay. She currently lives in Thunder Bay, where she is completing a university degree.

Why do we put so much attention on this petition ?

if there is an issue with First Nations it's up to the Federal Government to reslolve it....Not Frontier Lithium. Frontier Lithium's role is to maintain civil relationship with all surrounding neighbours.... Cheers...

Agreed. Frontier ( or any other private company for that matter ) cannot and should not get involved directly in such affairs and comments. I'm all for respectful dialogue and appropriate inclusion of all stakeholders and respect for the land and environment.  But let's be honest here, do any of you expect a frederal govt of any political stripe to actual intervene and solve a ...more

Link to Protests: While petitions themselves don’t directly lead to protests, they can be a precursor. When a critical mass of people expresses dissatisfaction through petitions, it may eventually spill over into more active forms of protest, such as demonstrations or rallies3. Generated by Copilot AI
