Tracking the trend of commercial flights (updated to...)

Week ending 03-24 - commercial flights were down 32.66%. Week ending 03-17 - down 32.48%.

Because 2020 numbers were well down due to travel restrictions, the best comparison is 2021 to 2019.

On 2021-03-24, the 7-day moving average (73,874) was down 32.66%, comparing this past week to the same week in 2019 (109,705).

On 2021-03-17, the 7-day moving average (73,552) was down 32.48%, comparing this past week to the same week in 2019 (108,935).

On 2021-03-10, the 7-day moving average was down 33.48%, comparing 2021 to 2019.

On 2021-03-03, the 7-day moving average was down 35.84%, comparing 2021 to 2019.

On 2021-02-07, the 7-day moving average was down 42.27%, comparing 2021 to 2019.

The second graph at the link below shows that commercial flights in 2021 (rising very slowly) have surpassed the commercial flights in 2020 which were precipitously falling off at this time. Worth a look. Commercial flights, not all flights.

2020 commercial flights dropped off until April 17th (the low was 27,969) before rising to about 69,000 from September until year end. While not recovering as fast as anyone would like, flights are at least above the comparative remainder of 2020.

Reminder: these are not Flyht numbers, these are worldwide commercial flight numbers. I would expect Flyht is roughly following this pattern.

There is a map at the CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html) that shows the level of risk for countries around the world. This map should improve going forward.

Just thought I'd add today's numbers. Down just 30.23% at the moment. (76,081 vs. 109,044). Going to be a grind until fully recovered.

Who cares!

I care, would think any FLY holders be interested. We're all frustrated as heck Givmeabreak, surly doesn't help...and directed at someone who offers free, useful information directly related to our business....

The only useful and meaningful information is that which shows up in the financials. This company is well past its best before date. Zombie company.

My choices can only be hold, sell, or buy more. Very much alive company; I choose to hold. Won't sell at these prices, unless a negative change takes place, and wion't buy, unless v. postive news takes place. Imo, v. positive news is the more likely of the two, and that might be another major U.S. airline signing on because of our new approach.

Tannin, I have heard the same for 15 years. This is a 6.5 Cent stock pre consolidation. The airline industry is broke and will NOT be spending unnecessary money anytime soon. I'm still waiting for my good friend CF105 to pump this on Reddit so I can get my $4.00 sell order filled !!
