Two items that gave me pause

Item one: I had been wondering about the product that will come from the partnership with MBS, what it might do, what would Flyht's involvement be. After re-reading some publicized material, I think I understand now that the idea is to automate aircraft data loading solutions MBS already has (that enable avionics software maintenance). The pic below (if the paste works) shows how MBS does some of it now - with numerous components. It is probably both simpler, and more complex, than it appears.

If the Edge is to be the method of transmission and the AI, this process would be greatly simplified and could easily become automated. This looks very promising as a money-maker that will require minimal involvement by Flyht. MBS will likely be the lead on this after development is complete as it already has the clients. According to their website, they have more than 53 international customers.

I was wondering whether there will be a requirement for an STC. MBS must have to develop an installable version of their product that can connect with the Edge for data transmission versus the portable nature of the present MBS product. See all that here...

In review, from the press release dated May 3, 2022:

"FLYHT today announced a cooperation with MBS Electronic Systems GmbH (“MBS”), a leading provider of secure data loading solutions that enable compliant avionics software maintenance and safer flight operations. The two companies have collaborated to develop a secure wireless avionics software and onboard data loading solution with the goal of enabling customers to fully comply with new security requirements.

Stated Kent Jacobs, President of FLYHT, “Airlines have been seeking secure data loading that makes for a lower cost and quicker installation and meets all regulator requirements. This partnership with MBS enables us to combine our AFIRS Edge platform, an advanced secure avionics data repository, with an advanced avionics data loader capability provided by the experts at MBS. Together, this creates a streamlined, secure solution for airlines to utilize, complying with secure data requirements and improving operating efficiency.”

Added Dr. Charles Nicholls, Technical Director at MBS, “As a leader in the secure portable data loader field, we have seen increased demand from airlines for an onboard solution that meets the guidance of ARINC 645-1. Together with FLYHT, we can service this growing need among the airlines.”

Added Willie Cecil, Sales Director at FLYHT, “Both companies’ technologies are so mature that an initial prototype solution was developed and will be demonstrated in Memphis. We are excited by airline interest in our solution, and we plan to qualify and certify the solution within the next six months.”

(Sinks in eventually :-)

So it looks like there will be an STC to acquire. Again, we wait.

Could be quite a significant amount of business that might ramp up quickly. The more uses for the Edge, the better it looks.

Working with MBS, which is located in Germany, could be made easier with Flyht personnel based in Germany, working at CrossConsense. Another possible plus.

Item two is about a statement made in the most recent presentation, and in earlier presentations.

“Weather, a built-in capability of the Edge, is an incremental opportunity”. I didn't quite get this until I re-read the Coral Jet press release about their being the launch partner for the Edge.

"The Edge can be interfaced with FLYHT’s TAMDAR probe or the FLYHT-WVSS-II relative humidity sensor to deliver airborne weather and humidity data in real-time."

Together, this seems to say that AFIRS would not be required for an installation of either Tamdar or the WVSS-II water vapour sensor, that the Edge could be used in its place. This would make their installation much cheaper and, therefore, more likely.

What gives me pause is......How the stock is trading lower today than years in the past !!!!!!
