Somebody help me here ....

This early in the exploration phase of the best discovery in the Athabasca since ISO, in the middle of the second round of drilling,  with a cashed up bankroll, FUU gives DML a conversiuon option for 0.56 on a 15M debenture. Additionally, should Dev's prediction that FUU would be taken out by the end of the year prove to be true, DML pockets the 15M plus the interest that would normally accumulate after 3 years, which I put at ~3M. Why?

"Further, in the event of an F3 change of control transaction, F3 may redeem the Debentures at par plus accrued and unpaid interest plus an amount equal to the greater of (i) 15% of the principal amount and (ii) the amount of remaining unpaid Interest that would be payable during the initial three year term of the Debentures".

They let their friends make money on deals at the expense of the shareholders. They always screw the shareholders.

I don't know about that Mary. I think junior mining is a complex business and I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the people running the companies I invest in. My investment decision process, especially for junior miners, is to formulate a list of questions and try to answer them. Those that I cannot answer, I accumulate. At inflection points, I review them and decide how to proceed ...more

More questions Mary. Mostly from recent events. As proof of my statement about reviewing at inflection points and acknowledgement of my own ignorance; I’ve come up with, what I think is, a reasonable answer to question #1. Sometimes, answers to questions suggest other questions, as is the case with question #8. I should mention that there is a tendency toward over thinking events, which I must try ...more

@ Laphroig - Hope that Dev is doing well but his health hasn't looked the best in his last couple of podcast interviews.  Makes one wonder if the recent moves aren't parts of succession plans for FUU and SUU.

Greenday, I don’t think it is appropriate for me to comment on another man’s state of health. I’ve been tied to Dev for many years through my portfolio and I have incurred the the full weight of the obstacles that a small investor does. When we win; we win smaller than the big guys; and when we lose; we get decimated. I will say that any deal that undercuts my and all RI’s entitlement to FUU’s ...more

@ Laphoig - I'm not asking you to speculate on Dev's health.  I've spoken to him on the phone before and wish him all the best.  This world does have some realities though and sooner or later every company needs a succession plan.  Whether that time has come and the recent moves that you wonder about are part of a succession plan - I don't know.   If Dev ...more

I don't know how to respond to that  Greenday. DML just announced a raise of $55M. All will be revealed soon.

Greenday; A "succession plan". Really? Come on man. Its bad enough to have to watch these guys decimate the retail shareholders here. Do you have to insult us as well?
Comment by Greenday on Oct 11, 2023 2:02pm
@ Laphroig - I got the idea of a succession plan from you.  This is what you posted. Unfortunately, that's true. Looks like the Chairman is gone also. Could it be that he made the push for Todd to replace Greg? That's what it looks like. I didn't see a lot of anything in Todd's first presentation and it looks like the Board didn't either. Maybe, if they ask nicely Greg ...more

Ironically, you cut a post from another board where equally unsavory activities abound. Greenday, I'd be very interested in your opinion about any of the posts I've made on this Board. What would your opinion be of FUU's value being determined after this round of drilling, without a major hit? Would you be OK with that?
Comment by Laphroig on Oct 11, 2023 2:27pm
It is a tough question?

I'll let you off the hook. "The Boulevard of Broken Dreams". Do you know the song? One of Greenday's best.

It gets very complicated, and where does it leave the shareholder. One of the things you said was 1 million for Sam. It was one million or shares.
Comment by Laphroig on Oct 10, 2023 8:27pm
Yes, I agree, it certainly does Mary. More questions. These are surely premature, and assume a merger is on the horizon. I try to examine several possible lines at the same time when making an investment decision.  (From my old chess days). I sincerely hope I am wrong. I would happily accept, as a consequence of my prognostications, ridicule from members of this Board. I do not intend any ...more
