Confused

OK. I am admittedly new to investing but have been following this drama for about 6 months and had to sign up to Stockhouse to ask a question. I am well aware of the mud slinging that has gone on in the Bullboard, so please those who can't control themselves, please don't bother replying. I am looking for some sincere comments, from which ever position you maybe on.

My question is, why has the response to news of the take over bid been so drab? Hasn't there been more dramatic movements in the past on less stable/convincing information?

Please enlighten a newbee!

Because 25% of an undeveloped rock pile is worth 25% of an undevelopedrock pile ..   Jien/GBK just paid 192+M for CZZ .. They get the rock pile and the 15M CZZ had on deposit .. It will cost 480M to build the plant and at this point they have yet to come up with a way to ship the ore ..   GBK  does not have enough holes to justify a true value at this point on it's own rockpile  ...more

If it was Xstrata coming over to take over CZZ, there would be more excitement for CZZ as CZZ holders expected that would be natural and Xstrata's pocket is deep and may willing to pay more... but reality is Xstrata's North Raglan is four times richer than CZZ's resources; they won't bother come to offer anything to CZZ to dilute their ore and unfortunately, CZZ has run into ...more

Hi Famar,Like your pick of Carpenters songs but each time I hear it, it recalls the sad part of Karen. She was my most favorite singer in 70s and there is always a hole in my heart since she passed away. Perhaps, you can pick something more cheerful as the third movement in trumpet. Ha ha ...Best,Chanp

Thanks for the insight. I guess I still expected the market to react a bit different. I mean in the short term its not like I was thinking it would be exponential growth, but I did expect a bit higher of a jump. I would guess that there will be another bit of a bump on November 24th... On another note, anyone attend the AGM and have any comments?
