Cormark

Another of GCU's financiers just dumped 65,000 shares. As I said before, GCU better choose better backers. CIBC has been dumping for quite some time.

GCU needs financing, but right now they also need 'backers' as well, those who have confidence in this project. I suspect that Sheldon Inwentash may be one of those people, but I don't know his thoughts on Springpole or his stock trading strategy with Gold Canyon.

Source? Or are you confusing brokers with clients?

there is a lot of panty hose knotting taking place , mostly by this Gog character, who actually thinks that permitting issues of any type are driving the near and intermediate term share price. To anyone with more than a sliver of market experience will know, its just stupid.  Those issues are well knowm and will be important at some distant time in the future-for some OTHER owner of the ...more

You're right Schill, I don't have a source. I just saw the 65,000 shares go through Cormark (and it was a cross). For all we know, a company using Cormark (and other brokers, including CIBC) is slowly gathering GCU shares for whatever purpose. Between Sheldon, Pinetree and Sprott, they have a huge chunk of GCU, so if there is any potential takeover, the recipients will have to ...more

"Question for anybody: in a financing (GCU for example), does GCU know the investors are through the broker? On that note, I will keep my pants on Booyaaca to wait for your answer. Diabase, not sure if you meant does GCU know the investors that participate through the brokers? The answer to that question is yes and no. At the end of a financing GCU would know the names of all investors that ...more

I suspect that they (GCU) do know who you are Booyaaca, but they aren't interested in you. If you get an annual report in the mail each year, then they know who you are!!!!! Shame on the company (Board of Directors) for the state that they've put the small retail investor in. The fluctuations of the stock price, on a daily basis, is an organized and  ...more

Agreed but remember, Quinton just drilled off a deposit already defined by previous operator GCMC back in the 80's who followed up on Milestone Explorations work in the Main "Club" Trench. They walked due to the obvious but the market loves a story so here we are today. Curious to see if mighty Quinton can turn this around as he'll actually have to discover something. This is ...more
