Many haven't forgotten the news put out several months ago about Tesla which turned out to be a scam? Not for me thanks, I'll take my cash somewhere.

You mean when Reuters ran an article about GIGA, and the company said no news is coming, but people didn't listen to the company and bought anyways? GIGA doesn't control Reuters writers. You got scammed by yourself reading into news that was not verified by the company. This is a mine that isn't in production yet. If you didn't expect high risk get out of mining.
