Time to execute on SM LOI

The longer this takes the less hopefull I am that this gets executed. If you have even a non-binding LOI, major points of discussion should have been covered already. Devil in the details, but for an off-take agreement I wouldn't expect this to take this long. Something up?

LOI can mean they agree that they want to make this deal happen on "general important terms" to each party  An acutal binding written agreement, especially one of this magnitude could take many months to complete. The amount of back and forth between legal teams over the smallest details can be daunting. I wish it was as easy as signing an LOI but they aren't nearly as ...more

Its an LOI, not a definitive agreement. There will be subject to's supply agreements etc thereafter to be hammered out in "good faith" based on the outline of the LOI. If they haven't agreed to the guiding principles of this LOI yet it can't be good.

Contract negotiation is a very real and serious thing in the business world and is not taken lightly especially when it comes to what could be a multi-billion dollar deal.  The SM is talking about wanting an offtake agreement that allows them first right to buy any product produced anywere in the world. Depending on how ...more

Been there done that, thanks but dont need a lesson. If you're months into a non-binding LOI you have a problem. If both parties are on the same page, which it would appear not, binding this agreement should be done by now. Granted SM likely not the most expedient and have internal processes. If one SM interested should be others. Tick tok

As good as this company seems and their potential to be profitable for a long time yet, I am also worried about this Loi. I feel it should also be done by now. Also the fact the super major doesn't want to be named seems like the SM doesn't have faith in the deal either. They aren't doing a private placement or something where they don't want the stock to rise they are buying ...more
