Carbon credits

If the refinery was in Canada 725,000 tonnes would be worth $36 mil/yr at $50/tonne and $123 mil/yr at $170/tonne. What can co. expect to receive with refinery in Texas?

"...the Company believes that the USGC Facility could reduce GHG equivalent emissions by up to 725,000 tonnes per year, versus the burning or disposal of UMO. The Company may receive voluntary GHG credits sold via the American Carbon Registry and may generate additional annual revenues for the sale of these credits."

Not quite the same thing but is shows where Biden is headed....   Biden’s Tax Credit for Carbon Capture – $85 / Tonne https://carboncredits.com/bidens-tax-credit-for-carbon-capture-85-tonne/

Basically next to nothing, 3-6 dollars per tonne current average, which definitely makes sense why the Canadian facility will be built next hopefully. I would imagine regulatory is much less of a mess in Texas than Canada, and cheaper labour and logistics. https://secondnature.org/climate-action-guidance/purchasing-carbon-offsets-faqs/
