Expired Domain - grandpowerlogistics.com

I sent an email yesterday to request clairity on the recent resignation, but found a few min ago that it was rejected:

<alanchan@grandpowerlogistics.com>:
Mail server for "grandpowerlogistics.com" unreachable for too long :

I then went to the website to check that out, only to find a Registar page indicating:
grandpowerlogistics.com
This domain has expired. If you are the owner of this domain, please click here to renew it
.

Not a very good impression this leaves with me here.  At a very minimum, that domain should have been set to auto-renew with someone's credit card (or pre-paid 5+yrs in advance).

I agree that accidents of this nature can happen.  I simply would have expected the registar to have sent warning notices/emails around the 3mos mark and a couple wks prior to cut off though.  ...  Seeing the expired Domain notice as oppose to a website is, well, just not a very good first impression for potential investors - i/e: the ones the StockHouse pumper was pushing for so ...more
