Re: GPW Plans to Repurchase Common Shares

Curious to know which price will trigger any corporate purchases?  Are they trying for 1 or 2 cents, or will we see them snagging 3 cent shares, too?

Maybe it's time to take a deep look into the L2 and perhaps consider sticking in 1 and 2 cent orders for a longer-term hold?

Finally, someone that is not wearing rose colored glasses and that actually looked at the numbers. All the buy back will do is create more dilution. I've been saying or months that there is something wrong with the stock that the market doesn't like. But clearly the pumpers here have another train of thought.

lakeside...just like on the mbi board, you are showing what a complete idiot you are. How does a ncib increase dilution?? The shares are bought and then cancelling. ie. decreasing the shares outstanding. Clearly you are retarded. Stick to driving trucks. And the debt outstanding is a revlolving line for factoring receivables. ie. Blows me away how stupid people on here can be. They are worth what. ...more

And as you can now see....Wolverton is on the bid. To buy shares and then CANCEL them. ie....LOWER dilution. That is what a share buy back does. This is stock trading 101 for lakeside truck driving idiots.

Lakeside, care to elaborate on "All the buy back will do is create more dilution" ....  I was under the impression that the purpose of the buy-back was to reduce dilution.  Where am I mistaken?

Perhaps dilution was the wrong word..... Buying back shares can be a sensible way for companies to use extra cash. But in many cases, it's just a ploy to boost earnings and, even worse, a signal that the company has run out of good ideas. This means that investors can't afford to take buybacks at face value. Find out how to examine whether a buyback represents a strategic move by a company ...more

Yes, I can see how dilution and the excerpt you have cut and pasted could have been so easily confused.  They are practically identical, afterall.  It could happened to anyone.

Reducing share count, reducing dilution, increasing liquidity and returning cash to shareholders all sound like good ideas to me. Good enough for the CFO to front run the repurchase at least.
