Western Wind

Hey, has anyone been around with Jeff since Western Wind? Do you have any history of how the stock worked out? What kind of price range? Was there a big gain when the company actually sold? We're there delays like we've had with GRB?  It's hard to find this information now and it would be nice as a boost of confidence in this company.  Thanks

Yes and before that even.  Stand up guy who fights figuratively tooth and nail to get shareholders the best deal

Yes I was in the Western Wind deal . . . and a great deal it was! The stock traded as high as up in the CA$2.80 range and eventually was bought by BROOKFIELD RENEWABLE at a price of CA$2.60 per share . . .  https://bep.brookfield.com/press-releases/2013/03-07-2013 On the day the sale closed the shares in my accounts were removed and the equivalent amount of cash at CA$2.60 per share was ...more

Great to hear the good news. I'm glad he has that proof that he's been successful before. Do you know what price range the company started about?

Thanks bull. Kind of looks like GRB, some made and some lost money. no big gains unless you got in at the bottom. Hope GRB is a better performer.

I've said this before and will say it again. Jeff puts his heart and soul into his companies. The dips will either come from a lack of news (ie. an impatient investor), which is a perfect time to buy, or it will come from material news (which you have to use to re-evaluate your position). In my opinion, Jeff is stubborn, but I truly feel it is because he has more knowledge than the person he ...more

Your return obviously depends on the price at which you were able to acquire your shares. There have been plenty of opportunities to buy shares at much lower prices than the current share price (and to sell some shares at a much higher price - taking some profit of the table never hurts) I have also invested in WND and had a decent return, but not spectacular (which is logical since I invested at ...more

Great. Thanks for that. I'm guessing that the average investor doubled their money. It kind of went sideways for most of the 8 years or so.  Personally, 2X my investment is not good enough for almost 10 years. I'm was wondering if this time with GRB is a lot better.  Of course so people bought in really cheap, but I'm in because I see the potential to 5X, 10x, 20x my ...more

Hope so. I sometimes regret my FOMO. I have a way To high cost average of 1.90. It would help greenbriar if the stock was included in an clean energy etf. For you all canadian, the first clean energy etf hcln is available on the tsx.
