Amount of Tranche 1 projects revealed....

On page 3, item 6, of this document dated June 29, 2021, found HERE  PREPA states the following:

"PREPA personnel and technical advisors from the firm Sargent & Lundy are currently working around the clock to complete the initial technical valuation of the 70 PROJECT PROPOSALS PREPA received on June 18, 2021 in response to its Tranche 1 RFP."

70 projects is a lot of competition.

There's only 1000mw up for grabs and Montalva wants 80-160 of it
.
How many of the 70 projects are utility-scale, like Montalva, we can only guess.

I suppose we can assume that a dozen or so are of the remaining shovel-ready projects.

I'm also guessing that there would have been quite a few smaller projects, or VPP's, that were proposed, compared to utility-scale projects.

If that's the case then the 70 number will be drastically reduced come Phase 2 of Tranche 1 since PREPA made it clear that the grid lacks the technology to monitor and communicate with VPP's, and therefore they should be eliminated from Tranche 1 and 2.

On July 15, 2021 we will find out how many of the 70 proposed projects have their paperwork in order and make it into Phase 2 of Tranche 1.

Phase 2 is a "Project Committee Review and Recommendation" which includes a qualitative evaluation, a pricing evaluation and an interconnection feasibility evaluation.

Let's hope Montalva will be there.

Cool, don't respond to numbers. Let's continue to chat about SBJ's psychological condition and the potential of Montalva getting approved over 70 other projects which is 6.5x less the value of Sage. I'll agree with Jeff that none of you are serious investors. Grab yourself a calculator and divide 240 by 27.

Please continue to trip over dollars to pick up nickels!!

The NPV of Montalva is 191 million,or 20 times that in nickels. What is the NPV of Sage?

Don't everyone back up the truck all at once now! There's still 7 days to capture some multibagger magic here!!! Blech

Thanks,Finalrep, and great info, lunderk. Also SBJ may have disappeared. Is any one searching for him?
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 2:19pm
You are comparing Montalva's NPV of what it is valued at over 30 years of income, let's just say $180M, with Sage at one year of Income, which is actually 40M. Sage over 6 years = $240M compared to Montalva's 180M over 30 yrs!! NPV also diminishes over time as higher risk is inviolved as well as longer time to see the returns. Since GRB, as I understand it, has no expenses with Sage, I ...more

Would you rather make $180M over 30 years, or $240M over 6??
Comment by 9Islucky on Jul 05, 2021 2:35pm
I am trying to compare NPV of Montalva with NPV of Sage.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 2:45pm
Please reread my last 2 posts because the math is done for you right there.. I don't know how much more clear it could be with all due respect.
Comment by 9Islucky on Jul 05, 2021 2:49pm
Not sure where your nos. come from but the current investor presentation shows Montalva with revenue of 35 million for 35 years and Sage with 80 million for 6 years.Which would you prefer
Comment by 9Islucky on Jul 05, 2021 2:55pm
Correction: Should be Montalva 36 million for 35 years and Sage 80 million for 5 years.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 2:59pm
Sage is 80m divided by 2 since PWR owns half but pays all expenses, as I understand it.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 3:07pm
Please see NR from Oct 16, 2018 which I believe is still in full effect..
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 3:16pm
If we still want to use the most recent valuation of $180M which I believe Jeff still quotes even though there are a number of different variables, then divide $180 by 35 years and see what you get when expenses are subtracted from revenue. I am not a stock analyst by any means but I don't see how GRB doesn't have a NPV of $240M minus a discount for risk, which won't be much.... upon ...more

In 6 years Montalva will net ~35 Million while Sage nets $240m.
Comment by 9Islucky on Jul 05, 2021 5:29pm
So Hubble, you believe that on the revenues of 80 million annually,Sage will net 50% or 40 million? Is that the normal return on building residences?
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 6:23pm
What I am confident of 100% is that of the profit Sage Ranch makes annually, GRB will net $40M/year with no expenses, or a total of $240M however long the project takes. In the case of GRB, revenue=profit because no expenses. I don't know or really care much how this breaks down for PWR as I'm not a shareholder but they will bear expenses, it seems through financing. Sage makes more money ...more
Comment by 9Islucky on Jul 05, 2021 6:44pm
So Hubbie:Lets declare a truce.I'll affirm that Sage will produce major changes in revenue and earnings for GRB,and you can maybe agree that Montalva will produce significant revenue and earnings for 35 years.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 6:49pm
100% !!! Didn't mean to come off argumentative but needed to clarify misperceptions of NPV. Seems my posts from yesterday were taken down anyway. Best of luck to all.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 05, 2021 2:57pm
Revenue usually does not include expenses. I'd much rather have the Sage project with no expenses. $40M/yr net. Google definition of company revenue.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Jul 10, 2021 2:47am
Finalrep, you want to give GRB a NPV of $55 million. Right now the share price is almost $40M valuation. So you want to get on various websites and tell people they can make $.50 max at your NPV? Let's leave the promo to the professionals who are capable of dividing $240M by 27M outstanding and see what the market comes up with. You had $55M and 9er had $1.2 billion with 35 years X 35M profit ...more
