A math lesson for Blizzy
" Under the adjudication, the city of Tehachapi owns 2,770 acre feet of base water rights, or 1,847 acre feet of yearly groundwater pumping rights. "
So contrary to what Blizzy keeps posting, just because some one owns "X" acre feet of water rights doesn't mean they can pump that same amount.
Another concerning note; "And Cummings Valley is allotted 3,444 acre feet per year, although it is in the process of being amended to 2,990 acre feet per year, due to depleting groundwater levels."

This is an issue related to water rights. The adjucated water rights and the actual pumpable amounts being 66.6% of the rights. Can you please post where you got this information. And maybe try backing off a bit on the constant bashing every time somebody says something. It's one thing to correct another poster related to misunderstandings but consistently being nasty does nothing.

Another item related to water rights is the approx. 1000AF of water that's extracted through private wells each year. The Water District's working to have these wells metered but I didn't see anything mentioning this in the Water Assessment.
