Bleak rumor's circulating on the WRX SH board

Hopefully they are not true, as it could be a significant hurdle for juniors trying to finance novel potash projects.

Western Potash has spent more than $200 million to date building their production facilities, pond, and caverns and yet they are trading at a M/C lower than GSP who has yet to put a shovel in the ground.

Crystal clear the old guard cavern hope is not working, so hopefully new age thinking stops trying to push a square peg in a round hole.

I agree. This is tragic. Somehow we need to get together and make this work. Clearly the "Moab" / "Secondary  Belle Plaine" approach does not work here (I wrote about that 14 years ago). The ore to the north is a problem, but excellent ore to the east for a selective cavern. (we need to see all the Data). A couple holes "in high grade" to the east plus a simple ...more

Agree 100% oldsalt. Unfortunately all of these old system egos need to be parked at the door, and open minds need to enter any coalition meeting. There are some brilliant scientific minds out there willing to think outside old school boxes to get this done, but they are not being heard. Not sure why almost 7 decades of relying on the same thing isnt getting through to these guys.  ...more

and MJB....as you seem to have a good handle on this unique mining technique in your opinion what 2 or 3 junior companies are closet to solving this mining mystery and will reach production the soonest if at all...thx for your opinion

Stay away from any company promoting the use of hot NaCl saturated brine as feed, and extraction of the KCl out of the in-place salt matrix over meters of vertical ore. Neither of ithese deas will work. Simple laboratory demonstrations and the application of common sense prove these ideas impossible, in spite of certain "strong men" in the industry, insisting this is the solution. (I can ...more

You hit the nail on the head oldsalt. Changing old habits can be the hardest thing to accomplish especially when egos that think they know better are challenged.  Previous methodology havent worked for decades, but they still push the same process as the next winner. I agree 100% that if this process can be proven successful, it will transform the industry. Especially the junior miners and ...more

Sorry for the late response sw248, as I was away for the last week. There is no doubt junior execs can make a very good living when promoting hype, proven or otherwise, but eventually the market starts to figure it out.   As far as shareholders getting any ROI, I guess that would depend on their investment strategy, as I know several folks that have made really decent returns with GSP.  ...more
