FACEPALM
I'll remove your greasy palm from my face and say one more thing....lol
One would have to be a fool to deny the BLUE / PURPLE colorations of the rock specimens
in the Acw Aris Tech Report - pages 199 - 205.
The petrographer struggled with identifying the minerals .
The mystery grey metal is a perfect reason to investigate the rocks and reassay a second time.
I just did a quick search on -covellite - and well, it's known to bw found in - MICAS.
Ahhh... yes, micas... and Ace claims have lots of micas.
Taking a second look at the rock specimens - pages 199 - 205....
It's quite evident that the blue / purple mineralization is sepeing from the - micas / pyrites /schist.
If Covellite is originally a grey metal but oxides to blue / purple, i know i'd be doing a retake.
Covellite is usually found n micas with quartz.
Covellites cousin is, chalcocite.
Feldspars are made of quartz.
And that should point Hawkeye to - 81.5 m fedlspars - drill cores - for an assay retake.
Certain fedlspars have a distinct - wager like mica quartz - not sure if Aces claims have this sort of fedlspar... but, give the high content of quartz in feldspars - it would be interesting to see what a sulphuric acid would pull from the feldspars -covellite could be hiding as a white grey metal -
I'm thinking the historical work perfromed and crews were not atune to identifying
such mystery metals or rare covellites.
Reading several of the reports, i feel they were aligning the grey metals with = tellerides in the
typical zinc, silve,r mickel, fashiomn etc.. When just maybe... a covellite may have bene overlooked. That''s the problem with idfentifying minerals , especially when they transition, and like i said in last post, what if hte spectrometry lequipt missed the unique bond of a covellite ?
Maybe the rock specimens and drill cores - are two entirely different host rocks from different zones... What should be done is... treking up the mountain to see if the floar rocks
are same as rocks at a higher elevation. If there's a match... then it's a good starting point.
Hence... take the explore up andout of the valley.
Cheers...

LOL ... word soup. "Covellite is usually found n micas with quartz. Covellites cousin is, chalcocite. Feldspars are made of quartz." ... hilarious.
