Shareholder offering - poison pill

Would PYR and HPQ shareholders view raising funds via a shareholder offering as beneficial?
 
Do either of the companies have a poison pill in place?

You mean a rights offering?  maybe if the rights where sellable on the open market then others might get some. But as for me.. My shares in my TFSA which is maxed. So I I wouldn't be able to cash in the rights offering. BT did make a mistake. Years ago fund companys asked them if they wanted to raise funds when it was over 1$ and BT thought he had enough cash and no need too raise funds. ...more

Dalesio_98 you out of everyone should know the answer to the poison pill question. Hpq could be taken out by a hostile bid but it wouldn't be easy getting 51% of the shares and at what cost? Pry on the other hand would almost be impossible to take over on a hostile bid. Peter and insiders control well over 51% of the shares. Don't know what you are getting at here or just more Fud from you ...more

No, raising shares is not beneficial. If they had a rock solid plan, they would be able to get financing, even in this market. The banks are crying to lend money.
