Some PYR HPQ comps & musings

This also updates info I posted earlier which I got from stockhouse. This is from G&M which I will take as authorative. I added some interesting stats.

Valuation and performing ratios are meaningless given the nature of the companies....emerging and growing and learning into their opportunities.

Shareholder returns tell the story of the too early exuberance run up in both companies ...which benefitted early shareholders (I still see some posting here....) .....which has taken time to mature beyond.......as HPQ chair Bernard termed it so aptly.....a Powerpoint company.

HPQ float 376mm vs PYR 182mm

HPQ SP .39 vs PYR .84

HPQ Market Cap 147mm vs PYR 153mm

HPQ 1 year return 20%   5 yr return 311%
3 yr return -45.83 (for those who bought high....this was a great run for me and HPQ)

PYR  1 year return  5%   5 yr return 68%
3 yr return -83.5% (for those who bought high....another great run I cashed out of)

One can certainly point to 3 years ago and conclude things about the companies and those who invested....things that do not favour either, in purely financial terms for investors and in all kinds of stories about the respective company that paint it in a bad light.

Best I think I can put it is that both HPQ and PYR are emerging and growing and learning into their common and fully owned opportunities. Both have made important connections that are leading to further engagement and I would be surprised if nothing major for both companies happens before eoy24.

In common they have Fumed Silica and both PYR and HPQ have several important verticals that appear near to market.

HPQ has Fumed Silica (2024-2025), Specialized silicon metals (2025) , Silicon battery anodes (2025) and  autonomous hydrogen production (2025

PYR has Atomized Metal Powders, DROSRITE, Waste Management and iron ore pelletization  projects currently driven by their Plasma Torches and there are other applications on the horizon.
It also has 50% of HPQ Polvere, the European based manufacturer of Fumed Silica that is making large inroads into Evonik. Evonik has a small amount of it for testing purposes, and it is expected to grow into more validation and eventual adoption by Evonik....on a non exsclusive basis.
