Bolivia Lockdown Update
- The Bolivian Government extended national quarantine measures through September 30, 2020 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
- The wearing of facemasks in public places is mandatory and social distancing measures must be respected.
- Schools and other public and religious events remain suspended.
- Government and private offices, job sites, and other services that are open during the COVID-19 pandemic are working on reduced hours and generally close earlier than usual business hours.
- Markets and supply centers operate from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Departmental and municipal governments will determine commercial activity and other services not governed by the national decree and may add restrictions as needed by local conditions.
Entry and Exit Requirements:
- Air borders will be open and commercial flights will be permitted to operate. Returning Bolivian citizens and residents, foreign nationals, diplomats, members of special missions and international organizations, technical specialists, and drivers of international goods and cargo will be permitted to return to the country with no enforced quarantine upon their arrival provided that they submit a valid certification of the PCR test specifically for COVID-19 with a negative result prior to the flight.
- All land, river and lake borders remain closed.
