BARREN LANDS (BEFORE READING)

BARREN LANDS (BEFORE) A previous post I wrote on April 12, 2007 C.S.I - thoughts on Mato Grosso SECRECY In the Dia met days – Chuck Fipke’s Company traded as a penny stock for many years (I think 7 yrs passed) as he kept everything a closely guarded secret to not tip off the mining community. In the past – The most highly used technique for making a discovery used fly over radiometric and airborne magnetic surveys throughout the world to find the easy targets of kimberlites pipes. The easy to find kimberlites have all been identified and have resulted in it being harder to discover new sources TODAY. There is no secret that diamonds have been found all THROUGHOUT Brazil but to this day nobody has been able to find the primary source. This is why I believe Iciena has a good chance… What I have been able to gather is Chuck Fipke primarily uses the old school approach combined with the most up-to-date and advanced techniques available to date. What I mean by this is he believes in having men on the ground and not in the air. He stakes massive claims in areas where historical diamonds have been uncovered. Then he uses a “grid line” type approach to predetermined locations to collect many sample(s) for his lab (CF Minerals) to analyze for any occurrence of diamonds or indicator minerals. He uses certain types of indicator minerals to determine if there is diamond bearing host rock (kimberlite) to develop trend like theories for follow up. Additionally, he has proprietary technology that is used to isolate eclogetic garnets that is can suggest large diamonds in excess off hundred carrots or more. It takes a lot of investigation and assays results to determine a possible direction and location of this source kimberlite rock. Therefore it is in my opinion, it would take a fair amount of secrecy to prevent other companies from taking advantage of this information to surround stake or acquire additional claims in hopes the source maybe out side the original source claim group. In my opinion, and looking back to the Dia Met days – once Chuck Fipke came “out of the bush” and was prepared to discuss his findings, he had stacked all the land he needed, had concluded his grid line program through analyzing the indicator minerals, and had identified the key targets that needed more exploration. This is when the stock price appreciated nicely and when the big boys came in to fund the entire exploration and mining development costs ongoing. This is what has happened in the past – and looking at what’s happening with Iciena more recently, I think were finally getting ready for the show to begin. I draw this conclusion by observing what has happened in the last 6 months…I.e. Financials being filed on time, over-subscribed financing completed, a $10,000 per month IR Firm was hired, trading volume has increased, share price has increased by close to a 100 %, and new Directors have been appointed. Plus on the other side, the JV side, (CSX) a lifeless company has shot to life, with stock split, share price increase, financing and recent distributions being announced…. Looks very indicative to me there are something’s brewing here or where “back from the bush”. Regards, Tommer3
