Silent Board in more senses than one

Seems like no one is prepared to discuss what might or might not be happening at Iciena. Supposeably our excellent (current or ex??) IR representative Lonnie Smith is not available as he is not responding to phone calls. Quite frankly without the flow of News continuing (after the excellent News we had a week ago) one really has to question what is going on amongst the Board of Directors? I posed a number of questions a week or so ago and someone suggested I contact the Company, but how is this possible when you get voicemail and Lonnie is unavailable. You know when you think about what the Company supposeably has then why can't they have some decent PUBLIC RELATIONS in place. I'd really like to have some respect for the BOD but it really is difficult when you consider all the delays we've experienced over the past 6-9 months and we still don't have a Website!!!!! One is usually able to speak to someone at a Company, but unless someone can post a contact number, I'm at a loss as to how we can get information. At one time Tommer was very much available and has done an excellent job in providing information about Chuck Fipke and Brazil, but even Tommer who I have the utmost respect for, appears to be out of touch with what is happening within the Company. Nopoo is another excellent source of information who is very objective and I'd be interested to hear what he has to say. Reading between the lines, I have to wonder if the Board of Directors are UNIFIED in the direction they want to move the Company in? Could there be some conflict amongst the Board members? Obviously all is not the way we'd like it to be, but we do need a NEWS RELEASE to address some of the concerns I have mentioned in this and my previous posts. As Davie stated, this could be a LONG SUMMER for Iciena and I agree with him 100% if things continue the way they've been for the past 9 months!!!! Lets discuss the REAL ISSUES here!!!

You hit the nail on the head. Unimpressed! Reading between the lines, I have to wonder if the Board of Directors are UNIFIED in the direction they want to move the Company in? Could there be some conflict amongst the Board members?

I have to agree Davie. I thought when the "deal" got done it would be the beginning of good news. Hardly. I was talking to Skyline this week and the impression I got is that Lonnie is no longer associated with this play. Skyline told me that they would still be doing IR associated work for Iciena into the future. That there contract was "renewed". I asked why ...more

"Nopoo is another excellent source of information who is very objective and I'd be interested to hear what he has to say." Hi Sorry haven't got much to say except I'm holding my shares and plan to get some more when I think the bottom is in. We got the deal done, now we sit and wait. And while we wait may I suggest that you do some reading....perhaps a little of kevin ...more

Thanks guys for the objective input into what might or might not be happening on "the inside" at Iciena. The comments regarding Skyline caught my attention for a couple of reasons, one being that I understood that their contract had been terminated as had Lonnie's association with Skyline. If this has in fact happened, it would seem strange that members of the Board of ...more

Lonnie may still be with Iciena, just not their IR. He may have got a better position. The volume for today probably reflects the paper hitting the market we were all waiting for to happen this week. Yes its painful to see the stock trading at its PP and no news. Deception is a word that can have several meanings that goes well with the stock at this present time...IMHO of course

I am not so sure of this oilydischarge. When I pressed Skyline for more information regarding Lonnie they backpeddled more. I straight out asked Skyline if Lonnie had been fired and the quote I got was "I am not going to say that"..."just that Lonnie is pondering his next move".....and finally something about Lonnie wanting to be on his own. As in owning his own business ...more

Well if he wanted to persue something on his own, its his business. Business is business as they say. All this "turmoil" about who is the IR isnt a concern to us. The fact that we have information coming from every side but the most importnat one is what is lacking here. IMHO. So my question is: Could their financing could have been pushed a little later than earlier?

Nopoo made some great comments – and that was to look for the bottom and consider loading up, whether it’s averaging up or down… it’s ultimately a decision to ponder. The Barren Lands book is an eye opener education and very much demonstrates how things played in the past and how this influenced the market price. Unfortunately its not playing exactly how we had all hoped and in my opinion, the ...more
