I disagree.  They're in complete control.  Banks are fully liquid.  If anything, they have too much.  Fed very skillfully normalizing rates and taking down asset prices.  Gold was beneficiary of liquidity, just like everything else.

They have done nothing. They have given no guidance. They cannot raise rates and they cannot do nothing.
