It looks like you are correct about vaccines. The odds favor the unvaccinated. 13.7 percent of the deaths are fully vaccinated while only 81.3 of unvaccinated deaths are unvaccinated. A little over half of Texans are fully vaccinated.

In comparison, 5 percent of these fatalities occurred among the partially vaccinated, and 13.7 percent involved fully vaccinated patients.

In that time period, unvaccinated individuals in their 40s were 55 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than others who were the same age and fully vaccinated. Among those aged 75 and older, the unvaccinated were 12 times more likely to die."

Zackra, You are correct again. 12.4% of Californians have tested positive for covid and 17.1% of Floridians. By being caution California has had less covid than Florida. Caution causes less cases which makes you lose. Still Learning
